We are staying at The White House, a lovely hotel, suitable for 40 odd East London maltesers who like a game 'o' footy, a round 'o' golf, a hand 'o' cards and a pint 'o' Guinness. We have toured the West coast of Ireland extensively, enjoying the company of the local people and drinking them out of house and home. Most of us are semi-pro golfers, only charging occasionally as most of our coaching is to charities and the underprivileged. We are expert fishermen, able to tackle the big game of the world seas. Specialising in Mackerel, we have some tales of epic battles to land these monsters. There is probably not one part of the world that one of us hasn't visited (in an advisory role of course). Some of us are expert financiers, some of us are coal miners (the Northerners) but we are all superb singers and master comedians.
You would be amazed at the level of skill of our footballing contingent. Many of our team were selected to be professional footballers in the UK but were too busy drinking Guinness to participate. Our experience and wisdom knows no bounds. Come and share a drink and a few minutes chin-wag with us during the 5 days of our stay in Kinsale. The craic will indeed be mighty!
